Cordyline petiolaris has long, strap-like leaves that grow in a rosette pattern at the top of the stem. The leaves are green, sometimes with a reddish or purplish tinge, and can reach up to 3 feet (90 cm) in length. The plant can grow up to 20 feet (6 meters) tall in its native range, but is typically smaller in cultivation. Cordyline petiolaris is a species of evergreen tree or shrub that is native to the Mascarene Islands, which are located in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar. It is commonly known as the Ti Plant, and is grown for its ornamental foliage and as a source of food and traditional medicine in its native range.
