Ctenanthe setosa is commonly known as the "Grey Star" due to the silver-grey markings on its leaves.The plant typically grows to a height of 2 to 3 feet and has a clumping habit. The leaves are long and lance-shaped, and can grow up to 12 inches in length. The upper surface of the leaves is a glossy dark green, while the undersides are a purplish-bronze color. The leaves also feature silvery markings that resemble stars or speckles, which are more prominent in younger leaves.
